In the Pantheon Intercultural Summer Camp children and teenagers learn practical skills, such as communication in English, healthy living and they take part in performing art workshops (theatre, dance, music) and in outdoor activities. Τhey explore different cultures and ways of thinking with the participants from different countries all over the world. Empathy, social learning and self-reflection are at the heart of the camp’s programme, as well as relaxation, fun and creativity. The teaching methods are always adapted to the participants’ needs and learning goals. Fun, entertainment and creativity are important aspects of all our workshops and outdoor activities in the camp.

This summer, the Pantheon “Performing Art” Camp focuses on creativity of the participants, the power to create. In the Pantheon Intercultural Summer Camp we bring this power into action – we become our own heroes!

 

The camp’s activities include:

< Classes in performing art:

The children get a profound introduction in theatre, dance and movie making by specialized trainers. We create our own theatre play, dance choreography and short movie. We learn how to create a story, how to use our body as a mean of expression and we make our first experiences in stage design.

 

< Implementation of learned skills into a creation:

The children get empowered to create their own performance. By using the learned skills they find a story put this into action. This Pantheon “Performing Art” Camp shows participants how they can achieve results by using their creativity and skills. By the end of the camp, everybody will have something to present – as a hero of his / her own story. In a final happening the children present their projects to their parents, friends and to the local community.

 

< Outdoor activities:

The leisure part of the camp focuses on outdoor activities. In games and adventures tasks at the beach the children improve their skills in cooperation and leadership, team working and taking responsibility for oneself and the others. They get aware of the possibilities and dangers of the natural environment and get encouraged to explore the world around them.
